An estimated 5,000 people marched in Concord, NH yesterday morning, including me. That number is small compared to other marches nation- and world-wide, but New Hampshire is not a very populous state. We stayed for about an hour and a half, and I was heartened by the number of people of color who spoke. (New Hampshire is also a very white state.) There were some anti-choice counter-protestors, but they mostly kept to the back.

For the first time since November 9th, I felt some hope. I don't think the marches will make a difference to Trump or the Republicans in Congress, but if they give people the strength to keep fighting, then I don't think they were a waste of time and energy in the slightest. We need to not become complacent. We need to keep fighting.
